Fried Fish with Spice

Ingredients

  • 400g Fish fillets (any firm white fish) cut in 4 x 4 cm pieces
  • 1 tablespoon TANDOORI PASTE
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • Breadcrumbs as required
  • Oil for deep frying as required

Directions

Place fish pieces in bowl. Mix TANDOORI PASTE, lemon juice and salt and apply to the fish.
Keep aside to marinade for a while, then crumb the spiced fish by dipping the fillets first in beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a frying-pan, and fry fish on both sides until golden-brown.
Drain on paper towel and keep warm.

Serve immediately with lentil curry and rice, and Goan Cuisine Cucumber Achar.
