‘Red Masala’ Mince

Ingredients

  • 500g Beef or Lamb Mince
  • 2 Onions, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 1½ tablespoons  TANDOORI PASTE
  • ½ bunch Coriander Leaves, chopped finely
  • 1 Tomato, chopped finely
  • 2 Potatoes, cubed
  • Vinegar to taste
  • Salt to taste

Optional

  • ½ cup Green Peas (frozen) steamed
  • 1 Green Chilli, slit in half & de-seeded

Directions

Saute mince in oil until nicely browned.
Add onions and fry with the mince. Then add TANDOORI PASTE, mix well and cook on low heat until aromatic. Add cubed potatoes, tomatoes and hot water to cover.
Leave to simmer, covered, on low heat until mince and potato are cooked. Add coriander and (optional) green peas and green chilli.
Simmer for another 10 minutes.
Taste for salt and vinegar.

Serve with Lebanese bread or steamed Jasmine Rice – and Goan Cuisine Mango and Lime Chutney for perfection!
